The Town of Elk Point is located in the County of St Paul and is situated on Highway 41 approximately 250 km East of Edmonton. Elk Point was incorporated as a Town in 1962; however, its history dates back much further, to the days of the fur trade when the nearby twin forts (Fort George and Buckingham House) were the first settlement on the North Saskatchewan River. Today, Elk Point is enriched by an active group of volunteers who have developed and maintained fabulous points of interest. The staging area at the Iron Horse Trail is a part of the Trans Canada Trail System. Click on the Business Directory button above to see the businesses and organizations that make Elk Point vibrant.
